Being Agnostic

Today, the world is filled with different types of people. From Hindus to Muslims, Christians to Jewish. The world is divided into these religions. But I, Ali Hamid, am going to talk about the overlooked people, those who are not sure about what is the true meaning behind the word 'God'. That type is Agnostic.

Now I am going to mostly touch upon agnostics as this type requires a clarification when it comes to who they actually are. An agnostic person is a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God. They are not Atheist (who believe there is no God). An agnostic person does not follow religions and does not think that the existence can be proved or disproved, he or she is the neutrality between the barriers of religion and science.

Being an agnostic, there is a certain level of emotional connect in a person. Now, for example let’s say I come to people and say I am agnostic. In that group of people, you have a Hindu, Muslim, Christian and an Atheist (all traditionalists). Now the Hindu and Muslim will certainly tell you that you are clearly delusional and don’t know what you are saying and will try to prove you wrong about the existence of the power known as God. Christians will be miffed about the ‘not following religion’ part but will accept it. But Atheists, they’ll throw you a party and celebrate that they found someone that sort of thinks like them. (Trust me, I know)

But, in the end, an agnostic person is still a human being regardless of belief and culture and mentality. We should accept them for who they are and embrace it. So, if you do know someone who thinks like this, do not force religion down their throats. Instead, accept and move on.
